WHO WOULD BE GOVERNING OUR FUTURE IF TRUE DEMOCRACY WERE UPHELD?
In the South Australian March 2010 Election, tens of Thousands of votes simply went missing, yet the courts found this acceptable as did the media. Throughout the world the electoral systems differ usually based on who writes the laws relating to them. This situation is already unacceptable, but it has now become apparent that this is not enough power to wield, so manipulation of the laws, postal voting and the general protections under the electoral Act's has become common place. nbsp; There is a big difference between the electoral systems of a democracy and a dictatorship. If we consider what we should expect from our system we can find plenty of advice regarding a fair go, the human rights and equal opportunity act, the international declaration of human rights, and even our constitution, in every case supporting words such as freedom, liberty and a direct vote.
So this far we can not rely on the JSCEM, the government, the political parties, the media or the courts to uphold democracy. I have fought for years and will continue the fight and pray that those reading this information will support me in my fight for a fair go for us all. A new political force is rising to the task of protecting democracy, one that's candidates are able to pledge allegiance to the electorate rather than the party that endorses them, so keep your eyes open Our rights will continue to diminish until the day comes that we stand united and fight for a fair and unbiased system in out state and country in the mean time ensuring what little rights and protections we have are upheld.. This is important for our children’s long term future and that of our beloved country.
SO HERE IS THE SOLUTION WE NEED TO DEMAND
We all deserve an honest booklet on how to vote, which includes reasonable details relating to our choice of candidates with the hope of creating an informed electorate.
All voters deserve a copy of the ballot papers in advance, so as to allow us the time to decide who receives our vote, and to aid those with disabilities to make a fair decision. This could be taken to the polling booth to copy onto the official ballot paper.
We must insist on the abolishment of full preferential voting. No one should allow their vote to count for a candidate that they either do not know or in fact oppose.
There must be a system of counting that rewards the candidate with the most support, rather than those who write the legislation.
A truly independent body is required to oversee these changes and to police any future electoral fraud.
Candidates need to be accountable for their electoral promises. They need to make every effort to keep their promises, and there should be consequences of some kind if they make false promises
Voters shoud insist on being provided with a pen to mark the ballot paper.
MANY OF THE ABOVE CHANGES ARE ALREADY BEING USED IN OUR LOCAL COUNCIL ELECTIONS, AND IN OTHER STATES by our Current electoral commission so change in not only Necessary but easy to achieve. Consider voting for Mark Aldridge Independent "Change is Necessary" in box F or include me in your below the line preferences, as I am the only candidate fighting for your freedom and rights to cast a free and informed vote
